The clothing giveaway happens every spring and fall. We collect clothing donations, make sure we sort it all out, and then offer it to our community entirely free of charge.
Cheryl Chetney heads up this ministry and it has proven greatly successful in meeting the needs of our community!
There is a box near the fellowship hall where folks collect boxed food and canned goods for the food pantry...when the box gets full, we drop it off. Of course, if anyone is in need before that, they can help themselves!
Stuff the Bus collects school supplies from various businesses and organizations all over town to help our students be able to afford the supplies they need. We have a school bus box that comes out during these times when we do our best to fill the bus for the kids!
Coats for Kids is run locally out of a resale store in Adams, WI called Practical Cents. In our church, you'll see a large box marked "Coats for Kids." These coats are designated to be donated to this charity. The coats are cleaned and offered entirely free of charge to parents of the community, along with snow pants, hats, mittens, scarves, etc.
Every summer, Adams Assembly launches a 5 day VBS program for students 4K-6th grade. This program is entirely free of charge and is designed to reach out to the young people of our community with the good news of Jesus Christ, and to introduce new kids to our kids programs that will kick off in the fall.
When we are able to, we like to make it to our community events like Trunk or Treat. We want to be out there shining a light for Jesus and loving our community with open arms! Thousands of kids come through this one event and receive tracks and candy and hear about Jesus and get invited to church!
