Our young people meet together every Wednesday night at 6:30-8pm during the school year for the youth service lead by Pastor Erika Goffin and the Real Life team. Each week, our meeting is filled with food, crazy games and laughter, as well as a serious time of powerful worship and a challenging message from God's Word.
The Youth Group also schedules activities every month, in order to provide more of an opportunity for friendship, fun, and mentorship.
A great need for teenagers is to have good clean fun while building friendships with other Christian teenagers. Every month, our youth group goes out and has fun...concerts, all night lock-in, horseback riding, skating, swimming, or lazertag...we play hard and it pays off in great relationships!
At Real Life Youth, the teenagers are involved in nearly every ministry in the church. We train kids in outreach ministry, kids ministry, sounds and lights, worship leading, prayer and group leadership.
Our leadership team is made up of Pastor Erika and Ken, as well as several other carefully selected Christian parents who have taken the time to go through our training and background checks. They have huge hearts for young people and a desire to share the love of Jesus with them.
The main event every Wednesday evening, after all the games and craziness are finished, is always our time with Jesus. Our youth worship is lead by Shawn Stevens, an experienced worship leader. Afterwards, Pastor Erika shares a message from the Word of God to the youth group, and opens the opportunity for prayer before closing for the evening.
You are still a vital part of our church even though you have graduated. We love you, and yes, you can still attend youth ministry even if you have graduated...or perhaps look into becoming a youth leader. If you are still living in the Adams-Friendship area, talk to Pastor Erika about the many ways you can be part of the ministries of our church and youth ministry.
